You can autotune me all night long.

Omg. Googly Eyes, don’t even get me started. I know skeeting is all about listing incredible qualities, heralding valiant efforts, and enumerating awesome and life changing accomplishments…but this post isn’t about that.

This post is about T-Pain. And how I am, for some inexplicable reason, TOTALLY ATTRACTED TO HIM.

It’s safe to say my undying love for Faheem Rasheed Najm all began with this video:

But let’s be honest: that love solidified when reading his Wikipedia page. To make it easy for you, I’ve ctrl v’d the best parts below.

Birth name Faheem Rasheed Najm

“T-Pain appeared again on SNL on February 7, 2009 (on the episode hosted by Bradley Cooper with musical guest TV on the Radio) in the SNL Digital Short, “I’m on a Boat“, along with castmember Andy Samberg and SNL writer/Lonely Island member Akiva Schaffer.”

I’m not really into men that *gets around the block*, but in T-Pain’s case, getting down with a mermaid is totally okay by me:

Just some more scintillating tid-bits:

  • On May 31, 2009, T-Pain made an appearance on a live-action episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force as Frylock, where he made his debut as an actor.
  • In June 2009, T-Pain collaborated with country-pop singerTaylor Swift for the CMT Music Awards, and performed “Thug Story”, a parody of Swift’s hit single “Love Story“.
  • An iPhone application called “I Am T-Pain” features an auto tuner, allowing fans to record and modify their own voice to accompany an instrumental collection of T-Pain’s music.
  • In July 2009, T-Pain endorsed the 2009 T-Pain Killa Cam-Pain, a grassroots effort to get him elected as president of Florida State University.
  • He has called his style of music “Hard & B”.(not crunk? not snap???)

One minus?

But that’s okay because:

  • T-Pain lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Amber, and three children: daughter Lyriq, son Muziq, and son Kaydnz Kodah (born May 2009). He has been married to Amber since 2003. His song “I’m Sprung” is dedicated to her.

The only other black dudes we’ve ever skeeted are Indie golden boys Tunde Adebimpe and Kele Okereke. Obama, you don’t count. T-Pain, you are a beacon of hope for uptight white bitches such as myself to “thug-out” our desires and “holla” at our “boos”.

Let’s all let a little more T-Love in our lives. Enshallah.
