James Franco

With a skeet skeet here, and a skeet skeet there, here a skeet, there a skeet, everywhere a skeet skeet…

Is there anything better than a hot man with a decapitated bear head on his shoulder? No, no there is not. Except for James Franco’s portrayal of pot-smoking, bad boy Daniel Desario in the short-lived but absolutely brilliant 1999 series “Freaks and Geeks,” which is also notable as a Judd Apatow “joint”, and Seth Rogen’s first vehicle to fame. Since ’99 Franco has graduated to the big screen in mostly small, mostly unseen (mostly not-so-good) films like Tristan + IsoldeAnnapolis, and Flyboys, with his biggest role being arrogant rich boy Harry Osborn in Spidermen (yes, “men”) 1 and 2. Which is a shame, because Franco is hot in a smirking, sneering kind of way that makes me think he could one day play the Joker. I can’t really say if he’s a great actor or not, because it’s possible that in Freaks and Geeks he was just playing himself, and I haven’t seen him in anything but that and Spiderman (which isn’t a great indicator of anyone’s acting ability.) The new Apatow film, Pineapple Express, may help Franco reach a wider audience and finally seize his destiny as a widely-known, widely-worshipped Hollywood heartthrob and teen girl magnet on the same scale as the markedly less attractive Seth Rogen. Though it is doubtful to prove much in terms of acting, as both Rogen and Franco will be going to glorious lengths in method acting to play a couple of stoners. Whatever, check it out, should be HIGHlarious!

I could watch 1:57 to 1:59 of that trailer for eternity and not get bored, all cause of the genius synchronicity of noise and picture.

And ease up on Seth. He has his charms. They’re probably hidden under his bed with his Rustler mags and bong, but they’ll be there.

Anyone who questions Franco’s acting abilities need only to watch all three lessons from the Acting With James Franco series. The man is a true artist.

    Plus, he’s dreeeeeamy.

EDIT: Ryan, you’re right. And every trailer needs more M.I.A. I also love the Tarantino shot at 2:05.

All Mr. Franco need do is be present & that’d be enough for me! Although his voice is a real turn-on, especially as Daniel Desario! Not as Harry Osborn! ANYway, see all 3 of the mentioned films he made plus his excellent portrayal as JAMES DEAN!! THAT will have everyone saying that THIS young man has LOTS of potential! He just needs the right vehichle. I’m sure he’ll be around for a long time. At 30 yrs old, I don’t see why young teen girls are so into him but I know alot of WOMEN love him! – Go, James!!
