Brazilian Slasher Film

Hello All,

I’d just like to make an electronic apology about not being able to publish recently. My incredible grandfather passed away  and for the past week I’ve been very busy honoring his life with family. Thank you all for your condolences.

On a lighter note, while at home, my brother and I rented a horror movie made in 2006 called Turistas that looks like it’s very promising. I attest that I haven’t seen a great horror movie since the late 80s or early 90s. They don’t make ‘em like they used to. (A supposed exception is The Grudge.)

Although, I only saw the first 15 minutes of Turistas, I will tell you that it has all the right components for the perfect thriller.

While traveling on vacation through the country Brazil by bus, a group of young, beautiful international tourtists survives an accident with their bus. They follow a track through the woods and find a hidden paradisiacal beach…

I don’t know what happens after this, but I assume a torturer discovers them…

So far, so good.

So, when I get back to New York, I’m going to rent this and if you want to come over, and watch a sexy slasher film in the dark with me on a murky 4th of July, then I’ll see you on Cornelia street.
